In 2022 it was estimated that there were 237,000 bicycle theft incidents across UK.
Bike registering provides a deterrent for thefts, and hopefully a way of reuniting the owner with their bike if it is ever lost or stolen.
Over 1 million bikes have been registered on the Bike Register system and all Police forces actively use it.
This year, by working with partner agencies, we provided over £8,000 worth of funding resulting in 3,000 bike register kits being purchased and utilised by the Local Neighbourhood Teams across Lancashire.
