The Night Safe, Glass Safe project facilitated by Lancashire Constabulary, addressed the heightened risk of violence and disorder during the festive season, particularly associated with the use of glassware in licensed premises. To mitigate this risk, the Constabulary Licensing Team purchased polycarbonate pint glasses to distribute to a select number of licensed establishments where the risk was at its highest. Additionally, the project received match funding from Ribble Valley Borough Council, enhancing its reach and impact. The project reduced incidents and promoted a secure environment during festive celebrations.
