Initiatives funded county wide during 2006-07
COMMUNITIES DEFEAT TERRORISM
To run 12 inputs per year with a group of 25 in each session with representatives
from Lancashire Constabulary Special Branch, Lancashire Constabulary Neighbourhood
Policing Team, Lancashire Council of Mosques and the Crown Prosecution Service.
The group will examine fictitious scenarios based on real counter terrorism issues
designed at making a community dialogue and decision making within the community groups.
HAWK-EYE
The provision of CCTV systems at Motorway Service Stations in an effort to reduce criminal activity.
BEHAVIOUR AND CRIME EDUCATION (B-ACE)
The delivery of an educational package to school children aimed at
reducing anti-social behaviour and criminal damage.
TEDDY TAKES A TUMBLE
The education of parents, educational establishments and young people about the benefits of wearing a
seat belt in an attempt to reduce road casualties.
